What date are Black Friday sales in Australia?
Black Friday falls on 29 November 2024. Brands will often take the opportunity to extend this sale over the weekend and into Cyber Monday on 2 December. As the event grows in popularity each year, you may even see brands offering a ‘Black Friday week’ or ‘Black Friday month’ where the entire month of November is on sale.
Is Black Friday a big thing in Australia?
This shopping event began in the United States of America and occurred after the Thanksgiving holiday. Historically, crowds of people would descend on brick-and-mortar stores offering deep discounts on home goods, electronics, clothes, beauty items and more. It wasn’t until around 2013 where the Black Friday sale was adopted by stores in Australia.
