Ingredients
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 vanilla bean
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1 lb. ripe pears (about 2)
- 6 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- Soda water
Directions
Step 1
In a saucepan, bring sugar, vanilla, cardamom, and 1/2 cup water to a boil. Cut a few slices from pears for garnish, roughly chop the rest, and add to the pan. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, then let stand 30 minutes. Strain and stir in vinegar. Refrigerate until cold.
Step 2
Line 2 glasses with reserved pear slices. Divide vinegar mixture among glasses (1/2 cup each) and top with soda.
