Too many people live trapped in soul-crushing retail, food service, and warehouse jobs, barely able to make ends meet, their health ruined by stress. Zali Gillings is no longer one of those people. She now travels and works her own hours, making a good living while still having time for herself. Zali says this is possible for anyone to do if they’re ready to work and learn. E-commerce and dropshipping may not sound glamorous, but this world lacks the grind and monotony of retail hell.
Gillings dropped out of high school in year 11 to pursue a trade as a butcher. Years of bloody drudgery led her to quit and work in retail. After three years, she cried in her car every day before trudging in to fill her shift. It’s common knowledge that this kind of stress reduces lifespans and can even lead to death. Something had to change.
When she quit her retail job, Gillings took a chance on 6-figure Drop Shipper, and she hasn’t regretted it. Some people look at this opportunity and worry that it’s some scam or multilevel marketing scheme where you have to enlist your friends and family to buy stuff, and no one ever makes money.
She quickly realized that 6FDS was a legitimate business when she recognized the CEO as someone she went to school with in Adelaide. She didn’t pal around with Reza Qorbanie back then, but he was a familiar face.
Dropshipping is a growing, multi-billion dollar industry that increases every single year,” Zali says. “And what really sets us apart is that we offer one-on-one guidance every step of the way. No one else offers the coaching and support that we do. That’s what sells our course, as well, the six-weeks-long, step-by-step course.”
“We teach people how to start drop-shipping stores, leave their jobs, and achieve financial freedom,” she says. I started the course about two and a half years ago, and now I help others join the course, start their businesses, leave their nasty jobs, and not have to work a standard nine-to-five.”
The course consists of pre-recorded modules, but that’s just the beginning. Between each week or stage of the course, you book one-on-one calls, submit coaching tickets, ask questions in the company Facebook group, or do group calls. Gillings explains that each student gets the support they need. So, we get lots of support either way, but every step of the way, we have lifetime access to the course. Students get all the coaching and resources they need.
Zali Gillings is one of the leaders for students who are learning 6FDS’s business, part of the one-on-one support, and she passes along what she’s learned in her life so far.
“Mindset is probably the biggest thing I’ve learned from mentoring others,” Zali explains. “We teach this in the course before we teach anything about dropshipping. We teach one whole concept at a time, and week one is mindset week. So, I work to get them in the right mindset before they even get into the program so they can’t doubt themselves. You need to know you can do this. You need to be in the right headset or headspace before you can get started.”
However, because everything is online, Gillings gets to travel. She visits new countries, sees new cultures, and eats new cuisines. She also travels to familiar locations for familiar experiences as well. Whichever she’s doing, Zali gets to eat healthy food, sleep a healthy number of hours, and relax.
“The beauty of being able to work online is that I can just live a laptop lifestyle and take my laptop anywhere in the world with me and still continue to inspire other people,” Zali enthuses. “I can still get other people involved. And I think when I started sharing about how I worked a retail job I hated, and now I get to do e-commerce and work anywhere in the world, that’s what inspired other people to join e-commerce and change their lives.”
Zali Gillings points out that not everyone is made for a university education, which costs around $100,000 and doesn’t guarantee a job or a salary afterward. University provides an education, but it is not a job training program. However, with 6-figure Drop Shipper, students learn a business and many other useful abilities in all areas of life.
“You learn such a broad range of transferable skills. Since I dropped out of school, I had no qualifications in marketing website building, content creation, any type of accounting, or anything,” Gillings says. “Now I know Facebook and Instagram ads. I know content creation. I know how to build a website. I know about suppliers and sourcing, how to make a logo, and digital marketing. In uni, you would have to do multiple degrees to learn all those things, and here you’re learning all hands-on. And software skills, too, you’re obviously improving your interpersonal skills every day and working with customers. You have to be so fine-tuned to that customer service.”
Zali Gillings has never been happier that she quit the dead-end retail job treadmill to become a leader for 6-figure Drop Shipper students.
“This is so fulfilling for me. When people hear me talk about it, they can see that I’m so passionate about e-commerce. Because I change lives every day. We get to work anywhere on the road. Like, it is an amazing opportunity.”
